For the past year or so I’ve been working at the Purpose Foundation, developing and scaling the open source Purpose Platform. And after 12 months and many sleepless nights, the platform is in a much happier place than it was when I started. Especially now that Purpose LLC hiring a substantial team to take it to the next level. This being the case, I’ve decided to move onto my next challenge.
During my tenure I was traveling the world, visiting as many developers and geeks as possible through meetups and conferences. And lo and behold, turned out I really liked that aspect and wanted my next gig to incorporate that.
After talking to WePay about their offering, and seeing genuine value to both businesses and developers, I knew I wanted to be involved. I’d recently had an experience implementing a payment system that would have benefited greatly from a similar solution, so I knew the value. When WePay asked me to come on board, continuing writing code and developing, but also getting to spend a portion of my time talking to developers and supporting developer communities, it was an easy call.
So over the next few months, I’ll be spending a lot of time at conferences, visiting developer communities across the country, and making sure we’re doing an adequate job of making sure developers understand how to best benefit from and implement the WePay API. See you there?
